HELP ME FIND MY HAMSTER!!!! Where would he be?

He escaped last night and we lost him in a messy, cluttered office with unfinished walls and we looked absolutely everywhere for him! There are carpet stairs leading from the office to the basement and carpet stairs leading to the main floor. We already set up multiple traps (The ones with the bucket) and searched even at night because he is nocturnal. Usually when we lose a hamster our dogs sniff it out but they aren't doing anything! We can't hear him and we don't know if he is somewhere dead or alive! We also left his cage on the floor for him to come home to. Please help us! We really want to find him quickly! Can you tell us where he might be and where to look? Thank you! :)
