Train travel from tx to co?

I live in tx and am looking to go to colorado by train... amtrak shows another company having tracks through New Mexico but I'm having bad luck finding information on it... its not worth paying to travel all the way through tx->ca(or IL)->co and it doubles the trip time.. I'm just hoping to find a scenic route that is a decent time length and price... right now I think flying or driving seems to be a better option for me but i would love to know if there is train service that goes south to north through New Mexico
