Will polthane dissolve by fresh squeezed fruit juice?

im making a juicer(fruit press) in woodshop, and the juice will go into a funnel made of wood, will the wood make it taste funny? soak it up and rot? if i coat it in polthane will it just dissolve from the fruit juice acids? what do you think?
