Flooring staple, cleat or nail?
There is a nailing device I have used in UK. called angle nailer. It has it's own type of fixings which are supplied when you hire the nailer.Hard to describe but here goes. It sits along side the edge of the board it has no power just a large hammer to drive the special nails in, they go in @45 degrees and at side of the tongue. The nails come in strips and look like flat cut nails, but the best part is they are hidden when the next board s up. It looks like a large triangular contraption with a big dome headed bar sticking out that you hit. This is on a ratchet so even if you happen to strike it in a timmid way it stays at that point till you go all the way down. As you knock it ,it automatically drives the boards together. From most good tool hire depots. Jeff
